Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2025  ·  Last Updated: May 2025

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the TVC platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and The Veterans Commission LLC governing your use of our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by The Veterans Commission LLC ("TVC", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services.

These Terms apply to all users of the TVC platform, including veterans submitting intake applications, corporate partners accessing the compliance portal, and general visitors.

2. Description of Services

TVC provides veteran workforce placement services, corporate compliance consulting, and NAICS skill mapping technology. Our services connect transitioning military veterans with corporate partners committed to veteran hiring.

Services are provided on an "as available" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Veteran Candidate Terms

Veterans submitting intake applications represent that all information provided is accurate and complete. Submission of false or misleading information may result in removal from the candidate database.

TVC does not guarantee placement. We facilitate matching and introductions between candidates and corporate partners; employment decisions are made solely by the hiring organization.

Veteran placement services are provided at no cost to the candidate. TVC is compensated by corporate partners for successful placements and compliance services.

4. Corporate Partner Terms

Corporate partners accessing the compliance portal agree to provide accurate workforce data for compliance verification purposes. Submission of false data for compliance reporting purposes may constitute a violation of federal law.

Compliance verification results generated by TVC are based on data provided by the corporate partner. TVC is not responsible for inaccuracies resulting from incorrect input data.

Corporate partners are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials. Notify TVC immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

5. Intellectual Property

The TVC platform, including the NAICS crosswalk engine, compliance calculation methodology, and all associated software, is the proprietary intellectual property of The Veterans Commission LLC.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any TVC proprietary technology without express written permission.

Candidate profiles and compliance records remain the property of the respective users. TVC is granted a limited license to process this data for the purpose of providing our services.

6. Limitation of Liability

TVC's liability for any claim arising from use of our services is limited to the fees paid by the claimant in the 12 months preceding the claim. This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

TVC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

TVC does not warrant that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security vulnerabilities. Use of the platform is at your own risk.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TVC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of our services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the federal or state courts located in Washington, D.C.

9. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
